Ateeq Anzar comes from a small village in Varanasi district of state of Uttar Pardesh,India and for last 30 years he is in Doha .Apart from his job, he  has tirelessly been putting all his efforts to promote urdu language and literature here in Doha in particular and In the gulf region in general.As a founder president of KARWAN E URDU QATAR he has organised many international Mushaira and award giving ceremonies to distinguish poets and literary personalities.He has also participated and contributed to many international Mushairas, seminars and symposiums.
