Ahmad Ashfaq comes from Samastipur city of Bihar, India, He is a post graduate with B.Ed and doing trade in Doha-Qatar.He is a well-known figure among literary and cultural circles of Urdu speaking communities at global level. Driven by his passion he always remains involved in Urdu related activities, arranges different events for this purpose and participates in Moshaerah and Seminars, serves as secretary general of Bazm e Urdu Qatar, as founder member of Sayeban e Adab Samastipur, as program director of Bazm e Sadaf, editor of international journal Dastawez (Prose).

His published works contain:
